CAC Ms Umar Hosts Health Lecture On Hypertension For Officers.

The Customs Area Controller, Niger/Kogi Area Command, Comptroller MS Umar, has organized a health lecture on hypertension for officers of the Command.

The lecture was held on Wednesday, 29 April 2026, at the Command Conference Room, where the CAC who was represented by the Deputy Comptroller in charge of Enforcement, DC A. Dalha, conveyed the Controller’s commitment to the health and well-being of officers.

The lecture was delivered by SC UI Muhammed, the Medical Doctor of the Command, who educated officers on the causes, symptoms, prevention, and management of hypertension.

He emphasized the importance of regular medical check-ups and healthy lifestyle choices; and further advised officers to maintain a balanced diet, engage in regular physical exercise, reduce salt intake, and effectively manage stress, noting that hypertension is a silent killer that can lead to serious health complications if not properly managed.

In his remarks, DC A. Dalha encouraged officers to take their health seriously and apply the knowledge gained from the lecture in their daily lives, adding that good health is essential for effective service delivery.

The lecture featured an interactive session where officers asked questions and received professional guidance on managing their health.

AC H.H. Waziri, appreciated the Management on behalf of the officers, for organizing the lecture and commended the resource person for the insightful presentation.
